Built in 1972 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2001, the modern low rise Hotel San Antonio has a total of 331 guest rooms, including 323 Twin and Family rooms and a further 8 Suites, which are built over 4 floors, and set amidst almost 16,000m² of sub-tropical gardens and sun terraces around a large central pool area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean towards the nearby island of Fuerteventura.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, along with a direct dial telephone, satellite television with music channels, safety deposit box available for rental, mini bar and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area towards the sea. In addition to the above features, a daily maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required and change of bed linen twice a week.

Guest facilities on offer include a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar with show cooking, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, as well as a games room, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel San Antonio also offers the use of 3 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, seating a maximum of 120 people, all of which are fully equipped with a selection of modern audiovisual aids.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 2 large freshwater and saltwater swimming pools for adults, as well as a further smaller children's splash pool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities include a children's playground, along with 2 hard surface floodlit tennis courts and a cardiovascular gymnasium with sauna and Turkish bath.

The Hotel San Antonio also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring boules, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
